Project Profile: Stanford’s Water in the West

Stanford’s Water in the West just profiled work that EKI is leading to develop a comprehensive assessment of the San Mateo Plain Groundwater Basin for the County of San Mateo Office of Sustainability. The study is the first of its kind for the Basin, bringing together multiple data sets and advanced analysis techniques to provide a holistic view of the Basin’s hydrogeology, water quality, and overall functioning, and lays the foundation for informed decision making in the future. A summary of work to date on the project, which is currently in the second of three planned phases, is presented in a Phase 1 Report which, along with the compiled database, is available on the County’s project website.
