John DeWitt and Nelson Schlater Named Vice Presidents

EKI Environment & Water, Inc. (EKI) is pleased to announce the promotions of John DeWitt, P.E. and Nelson Schlater, P.E. to Vice President.

John DeWitt, P.E. – Vice President

John DeWitt, P.E. joined EKI in 1998 and has advanced through progressively more responsible positions, most recently serving as Principal Engineer where he played a key role in coordinating EKI’s quality assurance and quality control program. Mr. DeWitt brings more than 27 years of wide-ranging experience in water, wastewater, and hazardous waste projects for municipalities, government agencies, and private clients to his new position. He will continue to manage hazardous waste projects, mentor staff, and assist in leading EKI’s daily business operations. He has a MS in Civil Engineering (Environmental Engineering and Science) from Stanford University.

Nelson Schlater, P.E. – Vice President

Nelson Schlater, P.E. joined EKI in 2015 and has served as Principal Engineer managing water and wastewater master and facility planning as well as pipeline and water treatment projects ranging from planning to complex design and construction support. Mr. Schlater will continue to draw on his over 30-years of engineering design and construction experience to manage complex projects and mentor EKI’s engineers. He has a MS in Aerospace Engineering from Stanford University and a MS in Environmental Engineering from Kansas University.
