EKI Celebrates our 2021 Interns!

Happy National Intern Day! Today we come together to recognize EKI’s hard-working interns, Nick Jadallah working with people in our Daly City and Davis offices, and Patrick McEwen in our Irvine office. Thank you for your commitment and initiative, we appreciate your dedication to supporting the EKI team.

Nick Jadallah

Nick Jadallah interned in EKI’s Water Resources group over the summer after completing his undergraduate education at Cornell University. He is starting graduate school at Princeton’s Civil and Environmental Engineering program in the fall. “I really enjoyed spending my entire day with a group of water experts and the fascinating conversations about hydrology and water supply planning,” Nick commented. Nick’s daily internship activities allowed him to actively explore the professional responsibilities of engineers and hydrogeologists, practice his GIS skills, and learn about both the technical and the business side of consulting.

Patrick McEwen

Patrick McEwen, an incoming freshman at Stanford University, has interned with EKI for two consecutive years, working in our Irvine, California office. He enjoyed “the chance to gain experience working with a team in a professional setting.” He notes that this internship has increased his productivity, and enhanced his communication skills.

EKI is proud to offer our interns the opportunity to hone their skills, work closely with leading industry professionals, and gain first-hand experience. We are pleased to support the next generation of environmental, water resources, and engineering professionals as they navigate their STEM career paths.
