Mr. Hansen has over twenty-seven years of professional experience in planning, implementing, and managing numerous site characterization and remediation projects across diverse market sectors, including government agencies, real estate, transportation, and manufacturing. Mr. Hansen has extensive experience with subsurface investigations of soil, soil vapor, and groundwater at sites contaminated with chlorinated solvents, polychlorinated biphenyls, petroleum hydrocarbons, agricultural pesticides, and metals, including leaking underground storage tank sites. He also has experience with construction observation and contractor management for small- and large-scale remediation and redevelopment projects.

Mr. Hansen has served as field manager and project manager for large and complex site investigation and remediation projects, including high visibility projects that required coordination with the surrounding community, regulatory oversight agencies, and multiple stakeholders. Mr. Hansen is experienced with various methods of soil and groundwater characterization, including hollow-stem auger and direct-push drilling, vapor and groundwater well installation, and in-situ environmental investigation techniques such as cone penetration testing (CPT), hydropunch, membrane interface probe (MIP), and laser induced fluorescence. Mr. Hansen is also experienced with various methods of sample collection, including soil sampling, soil vapor sampling, grab groundwater sampling, and purging and sampling of monitoring wells. He is experienced in soil boring logging techniques and in preparing and interpreting geologic cross-sections for development of the site-specific conceptual site model (CSM).
