Ms. Aslam is an environmental and civil engineer with extensive experience in environmental investigations, remedial actions, and construction management, operations and monitoring of remedial systems, including vapor intrusion mitigation systems. She is also experienced in stormwater and industrial wastewater discharge management and compliance. Ms. Huda assists industrial facilities and wineries with waste management and compliance with waste discharge requirements.


Huda plays a pivotal role in monitoring regulatory developments related to microplastics contamination. With two graduate degrees, including a master’s degree in environmental engineering from the prestigious Duke University, Huda has over three years of research expertise in the field of microplastics contamination. She led the first research study in the United Arab Emirates, investigating the presence of microplastics in beach sediments along the coast of Dubai. Utilizing advanced analytical techniques such as FTIR and XRF analysis, she studied microplastics found in the beach sediment to identify the polymer types and heavy metals content.
