EKI developed a Water Efficiency Master Plan, which includes analysis of customer-level water use history, program participation trends, water use efficiency regulatory compliance, target setting, and evaluation of potential new measures and portfolios.

The effort included the evaluation of demographic and geospatial trends in past program participation, analysis of water efficient device saturation and passive savings, and the development and modeling of several potential water efficiency program approaches. EKI developed a water conservation model to assess savings potential for existing and new conservation measures. Using the model, EKI developed portfolios of measures to meet potential savings targets. EKI also supported MMWD in facilitating a stakeholder workshop to seek input on potential measures and savings targets.

Outcome

EKI successfully prepared the 2020 UWMP and the 2024 UWMP update, as well as a WSA compliant with CWC §10910-10912 for MMWD. Link to 2020 UWMP on the District website: 2020 UWMP.
