Hydrogeologic Investigations and Groundwater Model Update, Livermore Valley

EKI has provided a wide variety of water resources consulting services to the Zone 7 Water Agency since 2020 to support the Livermore Basin’s SGMA efforts. Our teams have provided the following services to Zone 7:

• Prepared the 2021 Alternative GSP (Periodic Review, which was approved by DWR) and the WYs 2021 through 2024 GSP Annual Reports for the Livermore Valley Basin.
• Developed a 3D geologic model and cross-sections for the Livermore Valley Basin.
• Created an Integrated Water Flow Model Demand Calculator (IDC) aerial recharge model for the Livermore Valley Basin.
• Developed, calibrated, and validated an integrated surface water and groundwater flow model with mass transport (TDS, PFAS) and subsidence simulations, plus an operational Decisions Support Tool.
• Conducted predictive modeling for well sitting and climate change assessments to support well master planning and SGMA objectives.
• Led hydrogeologic field investigations, including geophysical studies, aquifer pumping tests, and GDE/ISW identification and verification.
• Prepared a Conjunctive Use Study for Zone 7’s 2022 Water Supply Evaluation Update.
• Successfully prepared a Proposition 68 Round 2 grant application, securing the largest award in California.
