🌊 EKI in Action: Celebrating Stewardship on National Cleanup Day! 🌎

Last month, members of the EKI Environment & Water team joined forces with our community for a hands-on stewardship event along the beautiful Tuolumne River.

We were thrilled to participate in the Tuolumne River Cleanup in Modesto, an event organized by the San Joaquin Tributaries Authority (SJTA) in partnership with Operation 9-2-99.

A huge thank you to the SJTA and Operation 9-2-99 for their leadership and commitment to protecting our critical water resources. Your dedication makes events like this possible and reminds us all of the power of partnership.

Together, 30 dedicated volunteers rolled up their sleeves and made a massive impact:

🚜 2 tons of garbage removed from the river corridor—including litter, tires, shopping carts, and larger debris!

💧 Cleaner and healthier riverbanks to support downstream ecosystems and local communities.

Check out the interactive Story Map to see highlights, photos of the team, and the impressive cleanup mapping!
