Ms. Hyman is a civil engineer specializing in water resources planning, design, project management, and construction management. She has worked for both Bay Area public water agencies and engineering consulting firms, providing her with a unique holistic perspective with which to approach solving clients’ problems. Putting together and leading multidisciplinary teams is one of her many strengths.
Ms. Hyman’s specialties include water infrastructure planning and design, habitat restoration planning and design, and construction management. Projects she has managed include the seismic retrofit of a 1-million-gallon concrete water storage tank, the design of over 20 miles of transmission mains for a desalination project, and the design and construction of a 15-million-gallon per day water pump station. She is also passionate about ecosystem restoration and has managed design projects to restore Napa River salt marshes, San Francisco Bay subtidal eelgrass beds, and local creeks with steelhead.
