| Database Analyst |

Responsibilities:
• Manage chemical, geotechnical, and geographical data within relational databases
• Maintain and update the integrity of the chemistry database (e.g., update cross-references, perform table joins, and enforce database relationships)
• Format, load, and transfer data to chemistry database from electronic data deliverables (generally ASCII, text, or csv files) using Microsoft Access
• Coordinate and communicate with individuals outside of the organization, such as analytical laboratories and other consultants, as required to procure, verify and correct data deliverables
• Coordinate and communicate regularly with project managers, engineers, geologists, and GIS analysts to ensure consistent, timely, and accurate data management
• Use existing Environmental Information Management System to configure and generate tabulated reports and other forms of output
• Modify and design new tabulated reports or other outputs, as needed for project requirements and additional data management and analysis tasks, as determined by specific project needs
Essential Skills Required:
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Access and SQL programming language, as demonstrated by prior work experience or applicable training certificates
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
• Understanding of chemical data, data quality control, and analytical laboratory methods and reporting procedures
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Well developed organizational skills and great attention to detail
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
• Good verbal communication skills
Additional Skills / Education Desired:
• Experience handling chemical and environmental data in research, consulting firm, or governmental agency
• Programming in Visual Basic a plus
• Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment
• College degree, ideally in physical sciences
